Blue Collards is a celebration of hard work, good taste and true community.

In a rootless world, we believe food can bring us back to our senses. We care about tradition more than trends. We prioritize joy and wonder over calories or Michelin Stars, and we feel that community should be defined by love and toil, not blood or soil.

Our mission is to bring our readers closer to their food, the earth and one another. In addition to producing a digital magazine, we organize a wide array of live events, including:

  • Peat & Pearls — A series of events focused on Scotch and regional, farm-raised oysters.
  • Barleybrine — A celebration of Scotch and oysters held each April in Pensacola, Florida.
  • The Hoe Cake Throw Down — A celebration of cornbread and bourbon held each year in Pensacola.

We also lead a growing community of chefs, mixologists and other culinary leaders who are building the future of Southern foodways, called Swing Shift.
